Challenge:

Before its partnership with Notioned, Verge Laser—a leading laser engraving company based in Brisbane—was facing organisational inefficiencies and communication bottlenecks that resulted from a disintegrated set of tools. They were juggling a quote tool called Workflow Max and Google Sheets, along with re-reading emails to manage their intricate business operations.

They faced a few key challenges –

• Isolated Systems & : Verge Laser had to constantly switch between Workflow Max and Google Sheets. This process was not only time-consuming but also prone to human error, causing delays, inefficiencies and losing track of jobs.
• Lack of Scalability: As Verge Laser grew, it became increasingly clear that a more scalable solution was needed. The limitations of Google Sheets, email and memory made it impossible for them to keep up with higher demands and adapt to new projects and business verticals efficiently.
• No unified vision and purpose: They had team members pulling in different directions, and leadership couldn’t agree on a set direction. 

Solution:

Notioned created a custom Notion workspace that centralised Verge Laser’s operations, including client management, project tracking, and reporting.

Projects are tracked and passed between all team members so their team perform roles fitting their strengths. This allows each person to feel they have ownership of their part of the production line, be more focused and 

We also worked with them to craft a why statement and started coaching them on business-wide principles. This means that everyone on the team is more aligned with a purpose, and they all agree to standards that they believe the whole business should operate. 

Results:

Verge Laser as an organisation is much more focused, collaborative and driven.
